Doctor specializing in menopause and perimenopause
“My focus isn’t just on treating symptoms; it’s on educating you and helping you regain the quality of life that hormonal imbalances can affect.”
Dra. Tânia Bonifácio focuses her clinical practice on menopause medicine, taking a broad view of disease prevention and female longevity.
Viewing the menopause not merely as a symptomatic phase, but as a critical point of biological transition with cardiovascular, metabolic, bone and cognitive implications, she develops personalised plans focused on optimising health in the medium and long term.
When indicated, hormone therapy is prescribed on an individualized basis, in accordance with leading international guidelines and following a thorough assessment of the woman’s risk profile. The goal is not only to relieve symptoms but also to modulate the impact of the menopausal transition on the biological systems associated with aging.
